Amazon Announces Top-Selling Books of 2015

Amazon today announced its Best Selling Books of 2015 and Best-Selling Kids & Teen books, plus the Most Gifted and Most Wished for Books of the Year.

This list is made up of the-top selling print and Kindle edition books published in 2015. Whether you’re still looking for great books to give as gifts this holiday or are just interested in what books caused the biggest splash in 2015 – please see below for the full press release for Amazon’s lists of bestsellers.

Highlights from the list include:

· Top Selling Book of 2015: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

· Top Selling Kids & Teen Book of 2015: Old School: Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book 10 by Jeff Kinney

· Most Gifted Book: Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee

· Most Wished for Book: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

“What this list suggests is that Amazon customers like to be entertained—and scared! The creepy thriller The Girl on the Train is our best-selling book of the year, hands down, but Silent Scream, 14th Deadly Sin and Luckiest Girl Alive are no slouches in the category, either,” said Sara Nelson, Editorial Director of Books and Kindle at Amazon.com. “It’s great to see The Nightingale perform so well; it suggests that readers continue to come back to novels about WWII, as long as they deliver stories of people and the difficult decisions that war makes them make. In addition to page-turning fiction there’s also engrossing nonfiction from top historians David McCullough and Erik Larson. The best-selling books of 2015 are full of great old fashioned storytelling. Truly, something for everyone.”

The 2015 top 20 best-selling books overall are:
