With the rise in popularity of shows like Deadwood, readers are getting to see the much darker side of the Old West. While cowboy fiction has always held a mass appeal for reading audiences, author OA Brand is reaching an even newer reader with an erotica series based on Pinkerton Agent “Bear” Haskell’s adventures. Part mystery, part smut, titles like Wild to the Bone and High and Wild offer a unique look at the time period and setting, with elements of romance and danger with a lot of explicit content thrown in.

While both books are due out in the spring (High and Wild – April, and Wild to the Bone – May), buzz for the titles is already heating up. They’re a great mixture of both old and new, meaning the familiarity that cowboy fiction fans have with the true to life setting and time period are there, but with the decidedly updated adult content of the books.
